Apple tops Smartphone sales in China, beating Xiaomi, Samsung, Huawei and Lenovo
As per the latest sales Smartphone sales report in china, Apple has claimed the top spot becoming the number one Smartphone seller in china for the first time ever. Apple was followed up by Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung and Lenovo respectively. It was a close cut competition between Chinese native Smartphone vendor Xiaomi which grabbed 13.7% market share whereas Apple surpassed Xiaomi by grabbing 14.7% market share.
China being the world’s most highly populated country with great tech enthusiasm provides harsh competition among Smartphone developers. In past few years of Smartphone sales, Samsung and Lenovo also grabbed the top spot in china but this time it’s for Apple. The giant tech heads namely Apple, Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung and Lenovo together accounted for 57.8% market shares in china from January to March session.
As per reports, Samsung and Lenovo Smartphone shipments declined over past few months while as in case of Apple, Xiaomi and Huawei, Smartphone shipments increased adequately. In comparison to the Q1 of 2014, 4.3% drop of Smartphone sales was noticed and 98.8 million Smartphone’s were shipped. According to a Chinese official, the market is shaped to reach a saturation point after enormous growth of 20% in a row. This has resulted due to a fierce competition between different companies which cause the market to enter in the period of adjustment.
