Microsoft recently released their Surface 3 tablet which is basically high end device with soaring price that everyone cannot afford and Microsoft had no way to help it but let the third party developers design a mid ranged windows tablet because tablets are clearly looking straight forward in overpowering the fame of laptops. So, recently the Swipe telecom unveiled their windows based 3G tablet which goes by the name of Swipe Ultimate 3G tablet which is rightly priced at Rs 18,500 thus providing relief to the midrange category in this tablet era. But before going for this tablet, it’s essential to know each and every bright and dark corners of this tablet that will ensure us whether it’s worth buying or not.

1. Design:

Swipe Ultimate 3G tablet doesn’t look any different than a regular sized Android OS running tablet except for its single capacitive windows button at the middle of the bottom panel at the front end. The back panel of this tablet has been crafted with right amount of textured gripping which allows to comfortably holding this tablet in portrait as well as landscape mode.   You will find volume and power button at the top, USB port and 3.5mm jack on the left side and oppositely placed are slots for SIM and SD card. 

2. Display Quality:

This tablet houses a 10.1inch IPS display which provides resolution of 1280*800pixels. Although the pixel resolution of this tablet is not up to the mark but still it produces fine graphics as long as you don’t focus on the text pixilation. However it’s touch system is very responsive indeed and without any glitches.

3. Hardware Configuration:

Swipe Ultimate 3G tablet is stocked with windows 8.1 OS operating on a Quad core Intel atom processor clocked at 1.8GHz and coupled with 2GB RAM. Although this is not the best configuration but it’s still a good one to run this tablet smoothly. This tablet by Swipe telecom is  provided with 32GB internal storage out of which 8GB is system reserved and rest of 24 GB is available to user. For the photography fans, this tablet might not do any good for them with its 5Mp primary camera and 2MP front shooter for video calling via Skype. However it’s performance has been recorded good when it comes to running PC apps like Photoshop and other apps. On the basis of connectivity, Swipe Ultimate 3G tablet offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB connectivity in addition to 3G SIM Slot. This tablet offers fair amount of battery backup with its 7900mAh battery while as the backup shows decline on continuous 3G usage.

Accessory:

Swipe Ultimate 3G tablet connects to an accessorial keyboard via proprietary dock and firmly attaché to tablet via magnets. This mini keyboard features miniature keys even it’s the same for enter and shift button too so the fast typing is somewhat messy. However it’s applicability is still good when it comes to typing and reproducing PC / laptop like feel.
