Last year YU and Micromax collaborated for the designing of Yu Yureka which earthed in the midst of high configuration and low priced Smartphone’s and created whole new range of Smartphone’s in the same line up followed by Lenovo A7000, Xiaomi Note, etc. This year Yu has gone solo and is expected to create the same spark for Yu Yuphoria also which is being released by YU on 28th May and interested buyers can register for the Smartphone from tomorrow 5PM. The marketing strategy will remain the same as that of Yu Yureka which means this Smartphone will be available on Amazon only and users will need to register for buying it.

Yu Yuphoria - Full Smartphone review:

1. Designing: As far as designing of this Smartphone is concerned; Yu Yuphoria is seen housing a metal rim around the plastic panels with matte finish. The metal rim contributes nicely in providing the firm grip on the Smartphone however the plastic panel isn’t much durable. At the base of this Smartphone, you will find a charging port and 3.5mm jack. Right side of this Smartphone houses volume up /down buttons accompanied by power on / off button in the middle. On the back panel, camera is centric in origin with Led flash on the left side. The bottom portion of the back panel comprises of YU logo and speaker slice. This Smartphone will be made available in two distinct colors including Buffled steel possessing black cover and champagne gold with white cover.
2. Display: Yu Yuphoria sports a 5inch HD IPS display which provides good graphics quality and IPS makes it show better results on different viewing angles. YU has stressed on the fact that the display present in this Smartphone is capable of providing good visibility under sunlight also. This elegant display present in Yu Yuphoria is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 panel.
3. Performance: Yu Yuphoria comes factory installed with Cyanogen 12 OS custom ROM which is a highly customisable skin of Android v5.0 Lollipop OS operating on a Snapdragon 401 SoC chipset ticking at 1.2GHz and coupled with 2GB RAM. This processing configuration especially from the chipset point of view is currently seen in most of the midrange Smartphone’s while as 2GB Ram will provide great support to run heavy apps and games. Although the benchmark results concluded Smoothly, it’s yet be revealed that whether this Smartphone can practically run like heaven or not.
4. Camera Quality: In this tricky department, YU has provided YU Yuphoria with 8Mp primary camera with aperture of f/2.2 and pixel size of 1.4 micrometer and is capable of shooting HD video along with slow motion video capturing ability. Its front end has been rightly equipped with 5MP front shooter which is the right need at the moment when everybody loves taking HD selfie’s.
5. Storage: Understanding the need of public, YU has provided 16GB onboard internal storage which is expandable via SD card. This is a good storage capacity for such ordinarily priced Smartphone and this move from YU is worth admiration.
6. Network and connectivity: Yu Yuphoria is compatible with LTE, HSDPA and GPRS networks and connectivity modes featured in this Smartphone include W-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB. It must be said that designing of LTE compatible Smartphone at such price label is a tough job which is nicely accomplished by YU.
7. Battery Endurance: YU has assigned Yuphoria with a 2230mAh removable battery. It features the quick charge 1.0 which enables Yuphoria to charge up to 65% within 45 minutes only. It’s a worth seen features besides the actual endurance of this battery present in Yuphoria is yet to be tested.

Yu Yuphoria will be available on Amazon from May 28 priced at 109.2USD (7,999INR). What makes this Smartphone much more cheaper than Yureka is its presence of a bit less sophisticated chipset, bit little display and a bit low battery juice and low res camera as compared to Yu Yureka.  However, overall performance of this Smartphone is fantastic and the hardware is best possible at this pricing. Low budget users can definitely enjoy the presence of vast RAM and other high end features in this Smartphone.

Why is Cyanogen OS v12 preferred by YU over the stock Android v5.0 Lollipop OS?

YU has already marketed Yureka with Cyanogen’s OS and same is the case with Yuphoria.
