The Indian Smartphone firm Lava is mostly known for designing of midrange Smartphone with Lava Iris series being their most dominant one. Recently lava has flagged off a new experimental hybrid of midrange Smartphone which provides good hardware performance in low budget midrange section but the only thing users need to compromise with is it miniature 4 inch display hardly seen in any newly designed Smartphone. Lava has put their efforts in designing of a fully featured Smartphone accessible at a promising price affordable to almost everyone, so it’s a good effort from Lava as far as the low budget criteria is applied. Let’s explore Lava Iris X1 Atom and see what Lava has to offer at such an amazing pricing.

Design: Lava Iris X1 Atom being a low budget midrange Smartphone is encased in a plastic build and this is indeed the affordable option Lava had at this price point. The display of this Smartphone Is not sheltered with any corning glass but one thing is for sure that the compact display of this Smartphone will allow easy single handed operations on this Smartphone, resulting in lowering the chances of accidental drops. However the display needs to be covered by durable and stain proof sheath over it besides a hard back case cover on the Smartphone.

Display: A 4inch display with resolution of 800*480pixels is present in Lava Iris X1 Atom, the display size as well as the quality is quite average in terms of resolution and isn’t expected to show cast high quality graphics but has been introduced to run the needed applications with good readability and that’s all which could be offered at such pricing.

Performance: Lava Iris X1 Atom although comes preinstalled with Android v4.4 Kit Kat OS is planned to be upgraded to v5.0 Lollipop which is quite nice thing for such Smartphone, it operates on a Quad core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and coupled with 512MB RAM. The clocking speed is awesome but the RAM is a bit short for running even a basic set of favorite applications although a user can run essential apps of his daily use easily but the gaming and entertaining freedom is somewhat limited. It can only act as a Smartphone for strict daily essential usage like chatting, calling, music, and for few low end games but we can’t expect it to go hard on heavy apps and games.

Camera: Lava Iris X1 Atom flaunts a 5MP primary camera at the back with LED flash and 0.3MP front shooter for video calling. This is indeed the lowest grade camera configuration at the lowest pricing too. Here you can only expect to take good camera shots in perfect daylight with the primary one while as the front camera is soaring unless you are not interested in video calling or selfie capturing. 

Storage: Amazingly only 4GB storage capacity is available in Lava Iris X1 Atom along with memory expandability via SD card up to 32GB. Although 4GB is a bit lower than the average but the expandability option makes this feature look good because you can use your own SD card and increase a good amount of storage.

Battery Backup: Lava Iris X1 Atom is planted with a 1750mAh battery which is good enough to run this miniature for 6-8h besides display as well as processing configuration being the low end, this will ensure longevity of this battery backup.
